Job summary

The Child Center of NY seeks a Senior Program Director to supervise multiple program directors and manage finances, staff development, advocacy, compliance, and strategic planning. The role builds relationships with funders, licensing agents, and community leaders to ensure successful program operations.

You will coach site leaders, strategize program operations, and ensure cost-effective, high‑quality services while preparing for audits and regulatory reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with at least 2 years supervising staff.
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali or others as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and multi-task independently.
• Demonstrated competence in youth development and program administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, coaching and feedback to site leadership and teams.
• Oversee operations of programs to achieve enrollment, participation and goals.
• Ensure cost-effective delivery of high-quality services to families served.
• Prepare for audits and implement policies to meet regulatory requirements.
• Meet performance metrics defined for the program.
• Communicate program aspects agency-wide and oversee community outreach.
• Design and facilitate professional development experiences for staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
