Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a seasoned software engineering leader to coordinate system requirements, program specifications, and code/unit tests for major projects, ensuring alignment with business needs.

You will mentor junior staff, resolve complex production issues, and contribute to a range of testing activities from system to integration. The role requires collaboration across teams and adherence to FedEx standards and processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
Five (5) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages used by FedEx; strong communication skills.
Experience with IBM operating systems, LMS, client/server tech, OO development, or CASE tools.
Knowledge of software engineering principles.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to develop deliverables for additional levels of testing and test execution, including system level and integration tests.
Lead and/or assist in resolution of complex production problems.
Mentor development of those in less senior positions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
