Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Senior Staff Quality Engineer for the LRHW program. You will lead quality engineering efforts across design, procurement, and production, establishing mission assurance plans and guiding teams to reduce variation and cost.

You will analyze data, drive corrective actions, and partner with engineering and supply chain to ensure the highest standards of quality and schedule adherence. A Secret clearance is required. Travel up to 25% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (engineering, math, physics, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, or specifications.
• Experience leading or performing root cause analyses and driving corrective actions.
• Ability to manage projects and lead process improvements; capable of obtaining a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis and drive effective corrective action to improve processes.
• Analyze quality metrics to detect actionable trends and improve outcomes.
• Develop mission assurance requirements and guide engineering to meet them.
• Shape an overall process-improvement strategy to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Engineering to review, edit, and approve drawings and requirements.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Quality to strengthen supplier performance and quality.
