Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin seeks experienced Program Policy specialists to advance LTSS policy across 1915(c) waivers and related programs. You will develop, analyze, and implement complex policy solutions, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Successful applicants will provide senior-level advisory support, produce high-quality documents, and guide policy amendments while working with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Experience in policy development related to 1915(c) Medicaid waiver programs, public health, or state government.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex policy into clear documents.

Responsibilities

• Develops and revises Medicaid LTSS waivers, state rules, policies, amendments, and plans.
• Conducts research, analysis, and evaluation of Medicaid LTSS program issues.
• Leads or participates in workgroups with internal and external stakeholders to implement waiver initiatives.
• Produces written updates, summaries, reports, and policy documents for leadership and public.
