Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a LTSS Senior Policy Advisor (PSVII) in Austin to lead LTSS Special Projects within the Office of Policy. You will report to the LTSS Special Projects Team manager and guide policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project deliverables.

You will synthesize complex Medicaid LTSS policies, develop strategic documents, and mentor team members while coordinating cross‑agency initiatives to improve Texans’ independence and access to

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• At least four years’ experience in policy, program, or quality initiatives in Medicaid LTSS.
• Experience developing or overseeing advanced, senior-level deliverables and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and manages LTSS Special Projects.
• Leads advanced research, analysis, and evaluation of policy issues related to Medicaid LTSS.
• Leads and participates in workgroups and meetings with stakeholders as SME or team lead.
• Develops presentations and training materials for internal and external stakeholders on LTSS Special Projects.
• Develops high-quality written updates, summaries, reports, and briefings; provides briefings as needed.
• Supports the manager with overseeing daily operations of the unit team.
