Job summary

The Cleveland Foundation is seeking a Senior Program Officer, Immediate Impact and Grantmaking to lead a rigorous grantmaking portfolio and support day-to-day grant operations. You will collaborate with multiple departments to advance effective grantmaking and equity-focused outcomes.

You will translate strategy into actionable grant recommendations, manage complex grants, and communicate findings to leadership, board, and donors with integrity and transparency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of related experience in grantmaking or a similar role.
• Experience in executive or senior leadership in the non-profit sector.
• Proven ability to build strategic, lasting relationships with donors and community leaders.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Technical proficiency with CRM systems and office collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the Immediate Impact grantmaking function with rigorous, timely investments.
• Act as a strategic partner to nonprofits seeking grants and build strong relationships.
• Prepare board content and ensure rigorous grant reporting and metrics accuracy.
• Manage a portfolio of Immediate Impact grantees across community well-being issues.
• Translate strategy into grantmaking recommendations and social impact.
