Qualifications

• Knowledge of Jewish community and culture.
• Experience working with high-capacity individuals, families, foundations, or volunteer leaders.

Responsibilities

• Foundation Manager: Manage the foundation grantmaking cycle from opportunity identification through grant consideration, approval, notification, and stewardship.
• Help trustees and families evaluate grant opportunities in line with mission, values, history, and priorities.
• Prepare grant materials, research, recommendations, and background information for trustees.
• Facilitate discussions enabling trustees to make informed grantmaking decisions.
• Track grant commitments and communicate with grantees.
• Identify opportunities to deepen impact via partnerships and collaboration.
• Coordinate and prepare for foundation board and committee meetings.
• Establish meeting calendars, work plans, and priorities with foundation leadership.
• Maintain foundation records, documents, and policies.
• Ensure activities comply with governing documents and fiduciary duties.
• Support trustees in decision-making and connect families to Federation activities.
• Collaborate with finance on grant payments and reporting.
• Learn funding vehicles like donor advised funds and endowments.
