Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred in urban planning, public policy, or related field.
• 7+ years in urban planning or community development with public-sector partnerships.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with budgets, timelines, and stakeholders.
• Experience working with municipal governments and external partners.
• Strong facilitation, coalition-building, and community engagement skills.
• Knowledge of public funding programs and cross-functional program delivery.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of urban community development, park, schoolyard, trail, and public space initiatives across Tennessee.
• Coordinate multiple projects and partnerships with workplans, budgets, and timelines.
• Serve as primary contact for municipal and community partners, managing day-to-day relationships.
• Provide technical leadership on urban parks and community development strategies.
• Collaborate across marketing, philanthropy, land protection, and capital project management to deliver outcomes.
• Represent TPL at municipal meetings and community planning discussions.
