Job summary

Trust for Public Land in San Francisco, CA, seeks a Project Manager for the Bay Area Parks for People Program to oversee park and open-space projects from selection through construction.

The role emphasizes community engagement, collaboration with diverse partners, and managing budgets and schedules in a hybrid in‑person/remote office. Occasional weekend/evening events and field site work across the Bay Area are required.

Qualifications

• Alignment with mission and social/environmental justice is essential.
• A degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or related field is desired.
• 3–5 years of project management with authentic community engagement.
• Experience with diverse communities, environmental justice in urban settings.
• Experience with proposals, design professionals and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, community engagement, design and construction of parks and open spaces.
• Conduct site selection and evaluation for new projects.
• Coordinate with landscape architects, engineers and contractors.
• Develop schedules, budgets and contracts; track progress.
• Engage communities and stakeholders; coordinate grants and funding.
