Realityworks (RW Thrive) is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Technology, to align strategic technology initiatives with measurable delivery outcomes. The role involves governance, cross-functional leadership, and partnership with vendors to keep critical projects on track.

The position is remote, with headquarters in Eau Claire, WI, and requires residence in the specified states. You will guide release processes, manage schedules, and provide portfolio-level visibility to executives.

Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of progressive experience managing complex technology, software delivery, or enterprise programs.
  • Experience managing action registers, backlogs, integrated schedules, or similar delivery tracking systems.
  • Experience running release-readiness, stage-gate, or comparable decision processes with documented exit criteria.
  • Demonstrated experience reporting program status, risks, dependencies, and delivery confidence to senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with SQL or strong spreadsheet and business intelligence skills sufficient to independently analyze program data.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software delivery, program management, portfolio oversight, and driving complex initiatives from planning through release.
  • Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, including assessing risks, dependencies, resource capacity, and delivery commitments using data-driven insights.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, build alignment, drive accountability, and operate independently in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Responsibilities

  • Translate leadership priorities and strategic objectives into executable program plans with defined owners, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and target dates.
  • Build and manage integrated delivery schedules across multiple concurrent programs, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and external commitments.
  • Own and maintain the action register as the single source of truth for commitments, including ownership, due dates, status, and accountability.
  • Establish and lead a consistent delivery governance cadence, monitoring progress, resolving overdue items, and escalating exceptions or risks as needed.
  • Define and manage release, decision, and delivery gates with clear criteria, target dates, and accountable decision-makers.
  • Provide portfolio-level oversight of priorities, dependencies, risks, schedule conflicts, and competing demands to support leadership decision-making.
  • Evaluate resource capacity across internal teams and external vendors, identify constraints and concentration risks, and recommend allocation adjustments to support delivery commitments.
  • Establish and maintain consistent program management standards, processes, tools, reporting practices, and accountability frameworks across assigned programs.
  • Provide functional leadership and guidance to project and program management resources, promoting consistent execution and delivery excellence.
  • Coordinate launch, release-readiness, and go-live activities, ensuring critical dependencies, decisions, and commitments are actively managed.
  • Develop and maintain evidence-based program reporting, leveraging SQL, spreadsheets, business intelligence tools, and other data sources to validate status and support decision-making.
  • Continuously improve delivery processes, reporting, accountability, risk management, and program management practices as organizational needs evolve.

The Opportunity

As our Senior Program Manager, you'll serve as the connective force behind major technology and software initiatives, ensuring strategy translates into measurable results. You'll establish delivery excellence across programs, provide portfolio-level visibility into priorities and resources, and help teams stay focused on what matters most. By partnering with leadership, internal teams, and external vendors, you'll drive accountability, remove barriers, and keep critical projects moving forward.

Work Location

  • RW Thrive is headquartered in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This is a remote position, working from a home office, with occasional in-person visits to headquarters as business needs require. There is no fixed recurring in-office schedule.

Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, or Wisconsin

Compensation

  • The expected compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
