Job summary

Centene is seeking a Senior Program Manager for a fully remote position. The role requires strong leadership to guide complex programs across multiple projects and workstreams, with emphasis on risk mitigation, interdependencies, and executive-level communication.

Responsibilities include managing the complete project lifecycle, maintaining governance, and providing status updates to senior leaders. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with 7+ years in project management and PMP certification

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; PMP certification preferred.
7+ years of project management experience with cross-functional teams.
Experience leading complex programs with multiple projects or workstreams.

Responsibilities

Lead full project lifecycle: requirements, plans, resources, budget, execution, closure.
Use PM tools and methodologies; maintain governance and documentation.
Establish and maintain corporate PM procedures; ensure stakeholder alignment.
Maintain meeting minutes, action items, issues lists, and risk management plans.
Communicate project status to executives and external agencies.
Negotiate resources and resolve issues to mitigate risks.
