Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support a major project in the Chicago area, extending to Indiana. You will oversee program activities, provide technical leadership, and shape delivery for defined components within a larger program.

The role emphasizes ethical practices, risk management, talent development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Travel to project sites in the Midwest is expected as part of delivering secure, high-quality outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 8+ years of related experience.
• Preferred 10+ years in PM/Construction management.
• Willingness to travel to Northeast Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and Southwest Michigan.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program related activities for smaller programs or a defined part of a larger program, in support of the overall Program Manager.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery at the program level or for elements of a program.
• Advocate for ethical and safe working practices.
• Supports innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation.
• Identify areas of high risk and pro-actively take actions to positively impact program outcomes.
• Contribute to the global learning and people development strategy for program management, including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plans.
• Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise.
• Proposes skill development approaches and workforce planning to deliver capabilities for the future.
• Actively supports the attraction and retention of talent across area of expertise.
• Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreement.
