Job summary

The National Center for Defense Manufacturing & Machining (NCDMM) seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead customer initiatives, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, and exercise strong leadership across multi-organizational teams. You will interface with DoD customers, develop SOWs, and drive project reporting.

Ideal candidates have a engineering master's or related degree with extensive program management experience in manufacturing or defense, and are willing to travel to support

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering with emphasis on Manufacturing Technology or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, in related manufacturing/machining.
• Experience managing programs and portfolios with multi-organizational teams.
• DoD experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willing to travel.
• Experience developing manufacturing processes for defense components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall program leadership for selected programs, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Develop and oversee SOWs, cost proposals and timelines.
• Identify project team and oversee their work.
• Ensure effective customer communications and monthly reporting.
• Identify new sources for program management opportunities and support strategic planning.
• Supervise team members and participate in annual reviews.
• Preferred experience in hypersonic technologies.
