Job summary

National Center for Defense Manufacturing in Murrysville, PA, seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead customer projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and effective program leadership across multi‑organization teams.

You will develop SOWs, cost proposals, timelines, and supervise staff, while interfacing with DoD representatives and alliance partners. Hypersonic technologies experience is preferred; travel required.

Qualifications

• Masters’ degree in Engineering with manufacturing emphasis and 10 years of experience.
• Or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 15 years of experience.
• Experience in the manufacturing and machining industry with increasing responsibilities.
• Experience managing projects and a portfolio of programs with multi-organizational teams.
• Experience with Department of Defense.
• Strong leadership, detail orientation, communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel.
• Experience developing manufacturing processes to support defense components; additive manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall Program Leadership for selected programs including review of project input for completeness.
• Develop and oversee project Statement of Work (SOW), Cost Proposal and Timeline generation.
• Identify project team and oversee project team.
• Ensure project is on time, on budget and meets all set objectives.
• Identify and recognize Alliance Partner involvement on projects.
• Monthly reporting.
• Be the first line interface with customers and responsible for communications.
• Provide input regarding NCDMM strategic planning.
• Identify new sources for program management opportunities.
• Supervise team members and support annual reviews.
• Preferred experience in hypersonic technologies.
