Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support a major project in the Chicago, IL area including Indiana. You will oversee program activities, provide technical leadership, and align delivery with strategic goals.

This role emphasizes risk management, talent development, and financial accountability. Travel to project sites across the region is expected, and you will foster ethical, safe, and innovative approaches to program management.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the region including Northeast Illinois, Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program related activities for smaller programs or a defined part of a larger program.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery at the program level or for elements of a program.
• Advocate for ethical and safe working practices.
• Support innovation in program management approaches to achieve marketplace differentiation.
• Identify areas of high risk and pro-actively take actions to positively impact program outcomes.
• Contribute to the learning and people development strategy for program management, including talent gaps and resourcing plans.
• Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise; propose skill development approaches and workforce planning.
• Attract and retain talent across the area of expertise; accountable for overall financial success and delivery of the program management agreement.
