Job summary

Muon Space is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead classified space programs for U.S. Government customers, spanning the full mission lifecycle—from concept to on-orbit operations—under formal contracts.

You will own cost, schedule, and technical performance, act as the main interface to the Government team, and lead cross-functional groups across systems engineering, payload, software, ground processing, and mission operations while enforcing ITAR/EAR compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of program management on complex aerospace/defense development programs.
• Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance, or a current Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• U.S. citizenship required (ITAR-restricted).
• Experience executing U.S. Government contracts: SOW, CDRL deliverables, milestones.
• Experience running programs in classified environments with cleared facilities.
• Domain experience with remote sensing systems — EO/IR, RF, or both — at payload or mission level.

Responsibilities

• Own the program's cost, schedule, and technical baselines.
• Maintain integrated master schedule, cost baseline, and risk register; report progress against milestones.
• Plan and run formal program events—initiation reviews, in-process reviews, milestone reviews.
• Surface deviations with the customer promptly and with a recovery plan.
• Act as the primary interface to the Government customer and lead technical exchange meetings.
• Own delivery and quality of all contract data deliverables (CDRLs).
• Direct cross-functional teams across systems engineering, payload, flight software, ground processing, and mission operations.
• Drive design trades and study conclusions to closure on schedule.
