Job summary

Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking an Assistant Director for the Family Investment Administration Division in St. Mary’s County. You will oversee family investment programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a Customer Care Team as part of the Executive Leadership Team.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and eight years of relevant experience, including supervision. Telework may be available in this state service position, with salary determined under Maryland

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Eight years of experience in administrative, professional or technical work, three years must have involved supervision of other employees or exercising responsibility for program development.
Notes: substitutions include graduate education, additional professional/technical experience, and military service experience for the required experience and education.

Responsibilities

Provide administration, oversight, and personnel management to the Family Investment programs.
Directs, supervises and provides leadership to staff.
Works collaboratively as a member of the Agency Executive Leadership Team.
Monitors, reviews and supports quality assurance and improvement processes.
