Job summary

Waymo LLC is seeking a senior leader for the SWQ Ops team to de-risk new deployments and scale operations across markets. You will lead a 5-person team, drive triage workflows, and ensure data-driven decision making to support the Waymo Driver expansion.

The role requires strong program management, ML lifecycle experience, and the ability to collaborate with Engineering, SysEng, Simulation, and Data Science to improve safety and quality across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline.
• 7+ years in Technical Operations, Program Management, or Quality Engineering.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical programs with Agile methodologies (Scrum).
• Experience with ML development lifecycle: data prep, training, validation, deployment, monitoring.
• Ability to thrive in a high ambiguity, dynamic environment.
• People management experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive outcomes for programs spanning multiple orgs and forecast resources.
• Stand up new workflows and scale for new market expansions; translate operations into reliable processes.
• Communicate program status, risks, and priorities to stakeholders; guide cross-functional tradeoffs.
• Define KPIs and SLAs; drive quality outcomes with a global vendor workforce.
• Partner with Engineering to design, test, and deploy ML/Gen-AI models and tools.
