Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison is launching an ambitious AI in Health initiative, a collaboration between CAI and SMPH, to advance research, education, and innovation at the intersection of AI and human health. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to help build this initiative from the ground up.

In this role, you will shape strategy, convene faculty, clinicians, students, and industry partners, and establish the operating foundation that will drive teaching and research

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressively responsible experience planning, launching, and managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives or programs within a large organization.
• Experience convening and facilitating meetings with senior leaders, faculty or subject-matter experts, and external partners.
• Ability to translate high-level strategic goals into concrete, prioritized action plans and manage multiple concurrent priorities.

Responsibilities

• Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and collaborates with project staff to meet program targets and milestones.
• Creates a program plan and structure, monitors progress and performance against the program plan.
• Facilitates estimation of program costs, resources, and time, and monitors activities and budgets.
• Leads and manages efforts to determine and coordinate sharing of resources among projects.
• Prepares regular reports to communicate status and dashboards for leadership and sponsors.
• Manages activities of outside contractors and vendors to ensure service quality.
