Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced program manager to own the integrated schedule for multi-year machine builds, fleet sustainment, and retrofit campaigns on a fielded fleet. You will lead cross-functional execution across design, controls, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to keep milestones aligned with production demand.

Responsibilities include managing risk, visualizing critical paths, and delivering honest status reports with recovery plans to leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management delivering complex hardware.
  • Ownership of an integrated schedule for multi-discipline hardware programs.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams through influence.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated program schedule for machine builds, fleet sustainment, and retrofit campaigns — build it, load resources, baseline it, and keep current against on-floor reality.
  • Identify, track, and manage the critical path; distinguish items driving end date from late items.
  • Drive cross-functional execution across design engineering, controls, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and facilities.
  • Run the program's recurring operating rhythm: status reviews, milestone reviews, and cross-functional coordination meetings that produce decisions.
  • Own the program risk register — identify risks early, drive mitigation plans and elevate with a recommendation.
  • Manage long-lead item planning and schedule integration with supply chain and production control.
  • Plan and sequence retrofit and upgrade campaigns with downtime coordinated against production demand.
  • Track build and commissioning progress against milestone gates and handoffs.
  • Develop and report program metrics and use them to drive action.
  • Prepare and deliver honest status reporting with recovery plans to leadership.
  • Manage scope and change: assess impact of design changes and replan accordingly.
  • Coordinate requirements verification and track closure of action items.
  • Interface with internal customers to manage expectations against capacity.
  • Maintain program documentation so state is a matter of record.
  • Drive resolution of blocking issues across boundaries.
  • Identify improvements to planning, reporting, and execution processes.
