Job summary

Responsibilities

  • The Program Manager plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates enterprise-wide initiatives supporting the integration, governance, oversight, compliance assurance, and operational readiness of advanced aviation technologies within the NAS.
  • Manages the work of a large, multi-level organization typically through subordinate managers.
  • Integrates work of multiple organizations to meet strategic goals of the FAA.
  • Participates in strategic planning for the FAA, and makes commitments for a major organization.
  • Directs the work of subordinate employees and/or managers leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversees risk management for program success, identifying potential challenges and implementing strategic mitigation plans.
  • Establishes oversight methodologies, accountability structures, performance measures, and reporting mechanisms to ensure effective implementation of FAA policies.
