Overview

Nakupuna Prime is looking for a Senior Program Manager to support Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) is pursuing an enterprise generational business transformation to ensure alignment with organizational goals through effective program planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to prioritize the necessary business changes to improve performance, efficiencies, and capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic leadership and oversight for complex IT and Supply Chain Management (SCM) program and infrastructures
  • Leads cross-functional team, manage performance metrics, and ensure adherence to industry best practices
  • Identify financial and contracting issues, status, and recommend solutions to project leadership
  • Demonstrates expertise in industry best-practice information technology (IT) project management techniques
  • Create tasks, deliverables, events, and milestones in Microsoft Project or comparable project or task management software directed by the government
  • Oversee developing a complete and accurate Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) of all tasks and deliverables
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to client teams to support long-term sustainability and operational maturity
  • Apply industry knowledge of modernized SAP tools to the existing Navy supply chain business process
  • Recommend improvements to business practices within Navy ERP and its interfacing systems
  • Assist with coordination of migration to ERP+ (effort is managed by FMS and PMW 220, as such this support is purely to help NAVSUP’s migration with enterprise level management including internal task management, scheduling, and risk management)
  • Develop a preliminary and final implementation document
  • Assist the Government to prepare, interpret guidance and direction, and implement the ERP+ data strategy
  • Develop a data strategy plan for future SCM systems implementations/rationalizations
  • Develop a preliminary and final requirements document
  • Implement a communication plan to facilitate clear and effective communication channels to team members, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Conduct daily program management tasks to keep the team and program on target
  • Monitor and report the progress of the program to Nakupuna and customer leadership
  • Align deliverables to the program’s outcome, define scope and objectives, and ensure technical feasibility of the project goals
  • Mentor and provide training to develop leadership and managerial skills in supervisors at all levels
  • Ensure all contract deliverables are delivered to the customer on time with Nakupuna standards of excellence
  • Lead the program to meet corporate goals and policies
  • Identify new business opportunities on the program and nurture relationships for existing and new work in the future; develop and drive long term planning for employee development, contract success, recompetes, and growth

Education/Experience:This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 7-10 years of professional experience.

The following experience is desired:

  • PMP Certification
  • Experience with Project Management principles associated with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), specifically Planning, Implementation, Testing, Documentation
  • Experience working in Agile or Hybrid-Agile Project Management Environments
  • Experience in projects involving direct client delivery of ERP software for a large organization
  • Experience managing complex teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)

Clearance Requirements: A background investigation at the T1 level is required, as this is not currently a classified position. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
