Job summary

RTX in Goleta, California, is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead advanced development programs and IRAD for an emerging technology portfolio. The role requires managing cross-functional teams, cost, schedule, and technical performance, with travel to Raytheon sites and customer locations.

The Advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) product line within the Advanced Technology Strategic Business Unit is seeking a Senior Program Manager with a background leading advanced development programs and IRAD for an emerging technology portfolio. These programs represent significant growth within the Advanced EW portfolio with potential of $150M+ over the next 5 years and technology transfer into production mission areas. You will lead cross-functionally and manage cost, schedule, and technical performance.

This role is onsite located in Goleta, California.

What You Will Do

• Monitor, interact, and course correct highly skilled technical teams to support customer goals
• Display strong communication and presentation skills with both leadership and external customers
• IMS and EVMS implementation and execution, to include meeting EAC requirements
• Must be able to travel between Raytheon sites and visit customer locations in support of business execution and growth requirements. Travel between 10-25% of the time.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
• Program management, systems engineering, or related military experience
• Experience leading systems development and/or engineering design
• Experience with IMS and EVMS, and/or managing cost and schedules
• Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. government issued security clearance and program access after start

Qualifications We Prefer

• Advanced Degree in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics with related technical experience
• Strong understanding of novel signal processing approaches
• Proven track record of supporting capture efforts and successfully executing programs for DARPA, DoD Services' laboratories and Program Offices
• 5+ years experience successfully managing technology development programs and IRAD
• Experience leading new business capture activities and winning new business in a competitive environment
• Electronic Support and Electronic Attack technique experience to include traditional and adaptive approaches
• Strong experience with Advanced Programs
• Active Top Secret and SCI clearance
