Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a Sr. Manager Software Development & Support to lead a portfolio of programs, projects, and ongoing support activities that enable critical AMD business functions.

You will manage direct reports, set delivery priorities, oversee execution, and ensure teams align to business objectives. The role partners with stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and partners to drive planning, governance, resourcing, delivery, and operational support, across

Qualifications

Proven experience leading programs, projects, and operational support across business and tech teams.
Strong people leadership with direct reports, coaching, and development.
Ability to manage delivery plans, resources, risks, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
Understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery models.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional business groups, technical teams, vendors, and partners.

Responsibilities

Provide direction across programs and projects aligned to objectives, timelines, and outcomes.
Directly manage a team of project, development, and support resources with coaching and accountability.
Oversee project planning, milestone tracking, risk management, and delivery readiness.
Serve as primary business group contact, maintaining stakeholder relationships and alignment on priorities.
Oversee support operations for business applications and services, ensuring SLA adherence and vendor engagement.
Lead governance practices including intake, planning, prioritization, reporting and delivery processes.
