Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead cross‑functional teams in executing complex weapon system programs. The role focuses on cost proposals, RFP analysis, and maintaining strict compliance with export/import, earned value, and risk management practices.

You will guide multi‑disciplinary teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring security clearances and citizenship requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 12+ years.
• Experience producing complex, large-scale weapon systems.
• Background in manufacturing, refurbishment, and/or field operations management.
• Ability to produce cost proposals including RFP analysis, BOE development, and risk assessment.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide, and mentor project staff to strengthen management skills and collaboration.
• Drive continuous improvement to create efficiencies across the organization.
• Promote sharing of best practices and collaborative behaviors.
• Uphold Code of Conduct, maintain confidentiality and health and safety standards.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed for program execution.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team including PMO, CETs, CBTs, and subcontractors to expand scope.
• Build relationships with U.S. Government stakeholders and customers.
• Develop and implement sustainment and contract-bridge strategies.
• Manage day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with EX/IM, EV, and R&O processes.
• Oversee discipline in program management tools and processes for EX/IM, EV, and R&O.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on status, strategy, and direction.
