Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an senior Operations leader to drive hardware development and manufacturing readiness across multiple defense/aerospace programs. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage subcontractor performance, and align strategies with program commitments.

The role requires expertise in AS9100/ISO9001, ERP/MRP systems, and budget oversight, with the ability to navigate government contracting environments and maintain security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in hardware development, manufacturing, or defense/aerospace environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical and operational teams.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, hardware development lifecycles, deployment activities, and subcontract management.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and operational performance metrics.
• Strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, OSHA requirements, and government contracting environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated execution of hardware development, subcontract activities, manufacturing and deployment readiness across multiple programs.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with organizational goals, customer requirements, and program commitments.
• Partner with Program Management and Engineering leadership to ensure successful program execution and product delivery.
• Establish operational priorities and allocate resources to achieve schedule, quality, and cost objectives.
• Serve as a key operational advisor to senior leadership regarding program risks, resource requirements, and execution strategies.
