Job summary

Duke University’s Hart Leadership Program seeks a Senior Program Coordinator to lead the Hart Fellowship and community partnerships work in Durham, NC. The role combines program coordination, student advising, and external partnership development to advance undergraduate leadership education.

The position reports to the Hart Leadership Program Director and requires strong organizational, communication, and project management skills, with a focus on building durable partnerships and enriching

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of program administration experience.
• Experience in advising or coordinating student programs.
• Experience with nonprofits or community organizations.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and run the Hart Fellowship program and mentoring activities.
• Coordinate recruitment, applications and selection processes.
• Plan the Hart Fellows retreat and orientation.
• Lead monthly seminars for fellows and related programming.
• Convene team meetings and conduct annual program review.
• Advise students on project development, budgeting, and placements.
• Manage logistics including stipends, travel, visas and housing.
• Maintain program manuals and data records.
• Assist with Hart Fellowship budget management.
• Represent the program to community partners and Duke campus partners.
• Develop awareness of the fellowship program among partners.
