Job description

R&P is seeking a motivated Senior Program Analyst to support our customer’s leadership directly. We are a small defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management, and Technical Services to government clients.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare program and project documentation such as briefings, plans, concept papers, white papers, meeting minutes, and action item reports.
  2. Perform operational, administrative, and executive functions for external and internal Project and Program Managers.
  3. Analyze projects and programs to assist managers with planning, monitoring, and resource allocation, including financial and contractual data.
  4. Collaborate with various organizations such as Supervisor Shipbuilding, NAVSEA Warfare Centers, Shipyard, In-Service Engineering Agents, Suppliers, and Ship’s Crew to resolve complex issues.
  5. Support areas including program management, operations, contract management, business and financial management, earned value management, configuration and data management, quality control, cybersecurity, information assurance, and risk management.
  6. Develop plans with budgets and schedules to meet contractual and project requirements.
  7. Maintain electronic databases related to shipboard equipment installation, operation, maintenance, and alterations.
  8. Analyze data to identify problems and trends.
  9. Review contractual requirements and define project or program needs.
  10. Conduct schedule risk assessments to mitigate project costs and schedules.
  11. Create evaluation methodologies and analyze data to assess goal and requirement fulfillment.
  12. Implement and measure the effectiveness of new program planning policies.
  13. Create database queries and generate custom reports.
  14. Develop reports, documentation, and project plans; prepare and deliver briefings.
  15. Lead and facilitate project and program meetings and events.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership experience in team management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with US Navy, NAVSEA, or DoD Acquisition Programs is preferred.
