Job summary

Florida Department of Health is seeking a PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR - SES to supervise staff, manage data-driven programs, and lead contract and grant activities. The role involves coordinating with the Operations Manager C–SES, directing staff work, and ensuring program performance and timely reporting.

The position requires epidemiologic data work, collaboration with coalitions, and the development of state plans.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing data; knowledge of techniques used in planning, implementing or evaluating programs.
• Ability to supervise people and determine work priorities; establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Contract management and grant management.
• Ability to conduct epidemiologic research and data analysis.
• Willingness to travel; emergency deployment responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and plan, direct and evaluate employees; develop performance expectations and reviews.
• Analyze data related to maternal and child health, family planning and related programs; prepare reports and data products.
• Provide technical assistance for contract development and inter-agency coordination.
• Conduct epidemiologic research and data analysis using SPSS, SAS, Stata, R, SQL, and MS Access.
• Prepare presentations, papers, and manuscripts for meetings and publication.
• Lead data for the maternal and child health block grant application and statewide needs assessment.
• Assist with State Health Improvement Plan and Agency Strategic Plan development.
• Monitor contracts and legislative implications; ensure compliance with statutes.
