Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in professional liability or legal malpractice.
• Massachusetts Bar admission in good standing; other jurisdictions a plus.
• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong research and writing skills.
• Proven deposition, motion practice, and case management abilities.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation docket and develop clients.
• Excellent client service orientation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage professional liability and malpractice matters through all phases of litigation.
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, causation, damages, and risk exposure.
• Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in mediations and settlements.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and expert materials.
• Serve as primary day-to-day contact for clients, insurers, and witnesses.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses and consultants across disciplines.
• Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development and training.
• Participate in business development, client presentations, and industry events.
• Support trial preparation and serve as first-chair or second-chair trial counsel.
