We are seeking a Senior Production Underwriter to join our team. The role can be based in Boston, MA; NYC; Exton, PA; or remotely.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Underwrite General Liability and Site Pollution Liability policies, both new and renewal, following company guidelines and risk appetite.
• Assist in adjusting rating models with the Senior Underwriting Product Manager.
• Analyze risk data to determine coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Collaborate with brokers and clients to gather information and clarify details.
• Order and evaluate reports such as loss history and outside inspections to inform underwriting decisions.
• Document underwriting decisions and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Review existing policies for renewals or modifications and communicate decisions effectively.
• Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams to generate and retain profitable business.
• Promote products and services to drive market growth, leveraging marketing techniques.
• Monitor market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for product and marketing improvements.
• Participate in marketing initiatives, including presentations and industry events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in General Liability Underwriting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Familiar with moderately complex concepts and practices. Ability to work independently with moderate technical complexity. Willingness to travel occasionally.
