The Test Technician will be responsible for performing routine and varied tasks to ensure that production standards are met. Sets up, calibrates, tests, and troubleshoots production assemblies. Projects may range from simple to complex. Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of production assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences. Adjusts and calibrates systems as needed. Modifies equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams. Corrects malfunctions by adjusting or replacing parts or components as directed. Uses various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Tests electronic and acoustic units using standard and custom test equipment. Analyzes results to evaluate performance and determine the need for adjustment.
Follows complex test specifications, test procedures, and verbal instructions to perform a variety of routine standard tests.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, hardware specifications, schematics, or written work instructions.
Working knowledge of electronic theory and components.
Ability to troubleshoot and analyze failures using electronic test equipment and software. Diagnoses minor deficiencies in equipment and recommends rework where necessary.
$28.07-$33.70/hour
