Job summary

RTX in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Sr. Production Test Engineer to support the test process throughout the product life cycle on an onsite manufacturing team. You will troubleshoot hardware, develop test flows, and lead root-cause investigations to improve time, yields, and capacity.

A Bachelor’s in STEM and 5+ years of factory experience are required, along with the ability to obtain ATF access and a security clearance. This is an onsite position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with hardware testing and test processes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF access.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and provide accurate rework instructions for hardware.
• Create and maintain spares and test equipment obsolescence plans.
• Execute projects to reduce test time and improve test processes via data analysis.
• Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
• Maintain changes to the test equipment data packages (drawings, instructions, software).
• Lead non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of product or test equipment.
• Lead root cause investigations and present findings using fault trees and knowledge point plans.
• Perform risk assessments and support program risk registers.
• Validate and ensure compliance of prime hardware to data package requirements.
