Zipline is hiring a Software Engineer, Production Test to own the software that orchestrates testing of aircraft, docks, and subassembly hardware. You will develop reproducible test flows, instrument interfaces, data logging, and MES integration, guiding testing from validation to sustainment.

In a hands-on role, you will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure traceable software changes and high-throughput production testing in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production test systems or end-of-line testers.
• BS in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Implement test automation and data pipelines for repeatable execution and MES integration.
• Own production testers from requirements through build, validation, release, and sustainment.
• Define coverage, limits, GR&R, and release criteria with cross-functional partners.
• Build testers integrating harnessing, DAQ, sensors, actuators, power, safety interlocks.
• Troubleshoot PCBA failures, tester instability, and software defects on the factory floor.
• Improve yield, reduce cycle time, and report progress monthly.
• Coordinate vendor builds, FAT/SAT, calibration, spares, and change control.
• Standardize tester interfaces and maintain traceable production procedures.
