Job summary

Zipline is hiring a Mechatronics Engineer, Production Test to own electrical, functional, and automated test systems that verify aircraft, dock, delivery pod, and subassembly hardware at scale. You will lead end-to-end test system delivery for high-throughput manufacturing, prioritizing safety, traceability, and fast iterations in a production setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience building production testers and end-of-line testers.

Responsibilities

• Build electrical and functional testers for harnessing, DAQ, sensors, actuators, power systems and safety interlocks.
• Own production testers and calibration stations from requirements to release and sustainment.
• Define test coverage, pass/fail limits, GR&R and release criteria with cross-functional partners.
• Implement test automation and data pipelines for repeatable execution and production dashboards.
• Troubleshoot PCBA failures, tester instability and software defects on the factory floor.
• Improve yield, reduce false-fail rate, and optimize cycle time and uptime.
