Job summary

Netflix is seeking a Senior Production Technology Engineer to provide hands-on technical support to Vine Studios productions, troubleshoot in real time, and keep specialty rooms, edit bays, and screening rooms running smoothly.

You will collaborate with editors, production executives, post teams, and in-house VFX, performing on-site maintenance, supporting color workflows, and helping evolve tools and pipelines for creative production across shows.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in production or post engineering.
• Post‑production and production support experience with deep knowledge of workflows.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical issues for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provides day‑to‑day technical support across specialty rooms, edit bays, and Editorial for Netflix Series Animation at Vine Studios, including on‑site preventative maintenance and calibration to ensure optimum performance.
• Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues in real time, assessing urgency against production context and escalating appropriately.
• Identifies recurring issues and contributes to root cause analysis, helping to reduce repeat incidents and improve support efficiency.
• Works directly with production executives, post‑production executives, editors, and production creatives across active shows, maintaining regular proactive touch points to stay ahead of issues.
• Supports facility projects at Vine Studios including specialty room refreshes and edit bay upgrades, in coordination with Media Systems and Production Engineering teams.
• Partners with engineering stakeholder teams to evolve tools, platforms, and workflows for production and creative pipelines—evaluating software needs and flagging solutions to production stakeholders.
• Partners and collaborates with the in‑house VFX Manager to provide additional pipeline support and color workflow guidance for productions and creative artists working remotely and at Vine Studios.
• Coordinates with internal tech support teams that handle initial production support, stepping in when issues require more specialized troubleshooting.
• Provides technical context and details to Media Systems and Production Engineering partners to support Tier2 &3 escalations.
• Supports screening room scheduling and usage across productions; helps maintain operational readiness for screening and review room support.
• Translates technical issues and options into clear, understandable guidance so productions know what support is available, how to elevate, and what to expect.
