Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a seasoned production support engineer to join the Workplace Investment (WI) Stability Optimization CoE. You will coordinate environment stability, triage incidents, and partner with Infrastructure, Engineering, Operations and Business Leaders to drive rapid resolutions in a customer-facing test environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field
• At least 6 years of experience working in production environments, on-Prem and Cloud
• Experience with mainframe tools including COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ and writing COBOL/Native procedures
• SPS knowledge is preferred
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, ELK
• Experience creating dashboards in Datadog and Splunk
• Coordinate and triage incidents within managed environments with ITIL knowledge
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines: GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, Artifactory, Kubernetes, uDeploy
• Knowledge of ETL, Java, Python, or distributed tech, including AWS or Azure
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, AKS and EKS
• Unix scripting, Python or related languages
• Public cloud environments, preferably AWS and Azure
• Analytical and detail-oriented with data analysis and stability trending
• Lead coordination with stakeholders to align across business
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly
• Customer-oriented with professional communication
• Ability to mentor team members and coordinate with partners
• Strong self-starting, analytical, communication, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Bring Stability and Efficiencies to WI Squads and Operations to accelerate development life cycle
• Guiding resources assigned to the incident and ensures the incident is receiving the accurate support to drive resolution as quickly as possible
• An automation mentality to drive platform stability approaches
• Streamlining processes, optimizing workflows, introducing new features with positive business impacts
• Bring together technical, procedural, and financial data to reduce toil and increase efficiency
• Execute plans for technical standardization and process refinement within the Stability and Automation engineering organization, especially for Operations and Squads.
• Must bring flawless execution and results in role of organizational navigator and collaborator.
• Actively learning, sharing insights, industry practices and developments, within your area of expertise
