Job summary

BCforward seeks a Senior Application/Production Support Engineer to deliver robust production support across multi-platform environments for a Treasury portfolio in a major financial institution. Qualifications

• 5 years of production support experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong SQL proficiency with Oracle and Teradata databases.
• Strong UNIX/Linux knowledge, including shell and Python scripting for automation.
• Working knowledge of ITIL concepts, including Incident and Problem Management, with ITSM tools.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, ITRS; scheduling with Autosys and Bob.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies, with JIRA usage.
• Ability to work in multi-regional teams and in high-pressure situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve business queries for ERFT space and manage the user mailbox.
• Communicate health/status to lines of business with clear reporting.
• Improve monitoring, stability, and root-cause analysis speed.
• Support releases, upgrades, and server changes with Infra and Dev teams.
• Manage alerts and monitoring across Hadoop, Cloud, Grids, and containers.
• Use ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace and Splunk for updates and analytics.
• Incident management, user notifications, and escalation handling.
• Maintain docs and knowledge articles to support resiliency.
• Coordinate with development for issue resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Assist with metrics reporting and dashboards.
• Plan and execute Business Continuity testing and documentation.
• Organize meetings to drive timely issue resolution.
• Identify automation opportunities using scripting and AI tools.
