PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading HVAC manufacturing company to find an accomplished Senior Production Supervisor ready to lead high-performing teams and drive operational excellence. In this critical leadership role, you’ll oversee daily operations across multiple air-cooled chiller assembly lines, balancing safety, quality, delivery, and cost while developing the people and processes that keep production moving.
Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay Rate: $45-46/hour
Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift available
1st shift $45/hour - 6:00am to 2:30pm + OT
2nd shift $46/hour - 4:30pm - 1am + OT

Own a zero-incident culture and ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with EHS standards.
Conduct daily 5S and safety walks , identify hazards, and implement immediate countermeasures.
Lead incident investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Reinforce safe behaviors through coaching, communication, and accountability.
Lead multiple air‑cooled assembly lines to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
Allocate labor effectively to meet takt time and respond to product variability.
Identify, upscale, and remove constraints affecting throughput.
Ensure effective shift handoffs and clear communication of priorities.
Enforce adherence to standard work and established quality processes.
Lead containment and resolution of defects in partnership with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering.
Apply root-cause problem-solving methods such as 5 Whys and Fishbone analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
Support layered process audits and ensure findings are addressed.
Identify and execute opportunities to improve labor efficiency, throughput, and production flow.
Lead and participate in kaizen events and daily continuous-improvement activities.
Sustain and continuously improve 5S standards.
Partner with Industrial Engineering to optimize line balance and standard work.
Directly lead and develop hourly operators and team leads.
Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and manage performance.
Build team capability through training, cross‑training, and skills development.
Foster a culture centered on accountability, engagement, teamwork, and ownership .
Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve production issues.
Ensure material availability and raise shortages that could impact production.
Support new product introductions, equipment ramp-ups, and process changes.
Drive key performance metrics, including:
Safety
Quality / First Pass Yield (FPY)
Defect reduction
Delivery / production attainment
Labor efficiency
Lead daily tier meetings and ensure issues are tracked, prioritized, and closed.
Maintain accurate production reporting and effective visual management.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations leadership.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage production operations in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision‑making abilities.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, including:
Standard work
5S
Kaizen
Visual management
Familiarity with brazing, leak testing, electrical systems, and final test processes .
Experience with MES systems and production tracking tools .
Proven ability to lead frontline teams in a high‑mix, variable manufacturing environment .
Experience driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $46.00 per hour
