PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Quality Engineer I to support a global leader in energy, engineering, and advanced manufacturing. In this role, you'll help bring new parts, equipment, suppliers, and manufacturing processes from qualification through production readiness. You'll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to improve processes, reduce costs, and ensure products meet rigorous quality and performance standards.

As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving manufacturing qualification and quality initiatives from concept through completion.
Lead qualification activities for new parts, suppliers, equipment, and special manufacturing processes.
Develop qualification standards in partnership with Engineering and Global Supply Chain.
Manage project scope, schedules, equipment installation activities, and qualification milestones.
Lead qualification projects from initial planning through final approval and closure.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Evaluate and support advanced manufacturing and special processes, including coatings, brazing, welding, and similar technologies.
Identify opportunities to improve qualification methods, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and strengthen quality performance.
Apply engineering and manufacturing knowledge to develop innovative solutions and improve existing processes.
Provide technical support and problem-solving expertise to manufacturing operations.
Support regional and, when required, global manufacturing and quality initiatives.
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, urgency, quality, and continuous improvement.
Maintain a strong customer-focused mindset while ensuring products and processes meet applicable quality requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, process engineering, supplier quality, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience leading or supporting technical projects, process qualifications, validations, or improvement initiatives.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
6+ years of turbine engineering and/or manufacturing experience.
Program or project management experience.
Experience qualifying special processes such as coatings, brazing, welding, or other advanced manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience working within matrixed or global organizations.
Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships, establish trust, and influence across multiple functions.
Experience working with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality organizations.
Strong customer and quality orientation with a focus on operational excellence.
