This is a high-impact role for an industrial engineering leader who thrives in a high-volume manufacturing environment and knows how to turn complex operational challenges into sustainable improvements.

As the technical authority for labor standards, capacity analysis, line balancing, workflow optimization, and productivity, you’ll work directly with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.

Your Impact

This isn't a role where you'll simply analyze factory performance from behind a desk. You'll be hands-on in the operation, using data, engineering principles, and Lean methodologies to identify opportunities and implement solutions that make the facility more efficient and scalable.

Your work will directly influence key business outcomes, including labor productivity, throughput, capacity utilization, manufacturing costs, cycle time, inventory, and continuous improvement savings.

What You'll Do
Industrial Engineering Leadership
  • Own and maintain labor standards, time studies, and work measurement systems across manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and implement standardized industrial engineering methodologies and best practices.
  • Establish sustainable governance processes for validating and updating labor standards.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to industrial engineers and operations teams.
Capacity Planning & Throughput Analysis
  • Develop and maintain detailed capacity models to support production planning and business growth.
  • Analyze demand variability, staffing requirements, bottlenecks, and production constraints.
  • Perform scenario modeling to support strategic planning and operational decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to increase throughput without additional capital investment.
Line Balancing & Process Optimization
  • Lead line-balancing initiatives to improve labor efficiency and product flow.
  • Conduct detailed process studies to identify waste, bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities.
  • Redesign work content, station assignments, and workflows to improve productivity.
  • Partner with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to optimize manufacturing processes.
Continuous Improvement
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Carrier Excellence initiatives across the facility.
  • Facilitate Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, A3 problem-solving, and root-cause investigations.
  • Drive productivity projects supporting annual operating plans and cost-reduction targets.
  • Develop and implement visual management systems and performance metrics.
  • Validate project savings and ensure improvements remain sustainable.
Factory Layout & Material Flow
  • Design and maintain manufacturing layouts that support operational efficiency.
  • Optimize material presentation and point-of-use inventory strategies.
  • Partner with warehouse and logistics teams to improve material flow and reduce handling waste.
  • Analyze facility utilization and recommend future-state layouts.
Data Analytics & Performance Measurement
  • Analyze production data, downtime trends, labor utilization, and throughput performance.
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools to monitor operational performance.
  • Use statistical analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics that identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Support new product introductions through labor planning, capacity assessments, and process design.
  • Participate in capital projects and manufacturing-readiness reviews.
  • Develop and present recommendations, analyses, and business cases to site leadership.
