AbelCine in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Production Manager to lead the Production Services team, manage logistics, scheduling, client communications, and workflow coordination on-site.

The role requires 5+ years in production services or live events, strong budgeting and vendor coordination, and the ability to mentor staff. This is a full-time, on-site position offering comprehensive benefits and a competitive compensation range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, Event Management, or equivalent with related work experience.
• 5+ years in production services, operations, or live event coordination, including supervisory experience.
• Proven track record coordinating production logistics, schedules, and crew.
• Experience processing timecards, POs, and payroll for staff and freelancers.
• Ability to manage travel, per diems, accommodations, and interdepartmental logistics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all active Production Services jobs and ensure timely coordination and execution.
• Book and manage crew, schedule prep, and coordinate interdepartmental logistics.
• Serve as primary contact for PS clients, crew, and internal teams.
• In lead client calls, pre-production meetings, and post-job debriefs.
• Create and manage timecards and coordinate payroll submissions with HR.
• Submit and track purchase orders and ensure timely payments to freelancers and vendors.
• Coordinate all production travel including flights, hotels, cars, and per diems.
• Provide after-hours support and coordinate last-minute staffing as needed.
• Create budgets and proposals and lead client negotiations.
• Monitor and improve workflows and departmental efficiencies.
• Support the Director of PS in identifying growth opportunities and large-scale projects.
• Mentor and lead the PS Coordinator and technical staff.
