Job summary

RRD in Saint Charles, IL is seeking a Scheduler to plan and execute production schedules across Prepress, Press, and Bindery/Finishing operations. You will optimize workflows, ensure readiness of materials, and coordinate with multiple departments to meet delivery dates.

The role is fully onsite with a typical 8AM–2PM shift and a requirement to commute to the St Charles, IL location. Salary ranges from $65,000 to $78,000 per year and may include bonuses.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of relevant administrative/operational support.
• Advanced knowledge of computers and software such as MS Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication and strong organizational skills.
• Experience in manufacturing operations or related office environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Review daily/weekly production schedules and sequence/load equipment.
• Optimize workflow by matching equipment capabilities to customer work.
• Verify preflight files, plating, raw materials, and components are in place.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure jobs can run.
• Provide daily reports to coordinate materials and staffing with forecast.
• Reschedule work due to unplanned situations (equipment failures, shortages).
• Guide or template for other schedulers; plan for multiple departments.
• Produce daily updates to manufacturing operations.
• Ensure materials, staffing, and logistics meet scheduled runs.
• Coordinate with vendors/internal resources to meet schedule.
• May participate in long-term planning and facility work plans.
• Performs other related duties and special projects.
