Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Sr. Production Quality Engineer to own quality outputs of critical satellite sub-assemblies, including electromechanical hardware with tight tolerances and high cleanliness standards.

You will lead as Product QE for satellite mechanism assemblies, drive defect reduction initiatives, and collaborate with Inspection, Supplier Quality, and Engineering teams across the Production System within an AS9100 quality framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years developing functional specs, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• 4+ years leading containment activities.
• 4+ years leading APQP activities (PFMEA, CP, PFD, SPC, MSA).

Responsibilities

• Lead Product QE over satellite mechanism assemblies, including process definition and validation for assembly and test methods.
• Lead MRB discussions to determine dispositions for nonconforming material.
• Investigate defect reduction activities and drive preventive actions for mechanisms subassemblies.
• Collaborate with Inspection, Supplier Quality, and Engineering to develop and qualify inspection, monitoring, and verification methods for the Leo Production System.
• Own defect reduction, reporting, and quality performance for mechanism subassemblies within AS9100 quality system.
• Develop and implement new process mechanisms for cross-functional teams.
