Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Production Quality Engineer to own product quality for satellite mechanism assemblies within the Leo Production System. You will define and validate assembly and test methods, lead MRB discussions, and drive defect reduction with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree and 4+ years of experience in APQP, PFMEA, CP, SPC, MSA, and data-driven quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• 4+ years of experience in leading containment activities.
• 4+ years of experience in leading APQP (PFMEA, CP, PFD, SPC, MSA).

Responsibilities

• Lead as Product QE over satellite mechanism assemblies, including process definition and validation for assembly and test methods.
• Lead MRB discussions determine product dispositions for nonconforming material.
• Dive deep into defect reduction activities for the mechanisms subassemblies and drive preventive actions.
• Work with Inspection, Supplier Quality, and Engineering teams to qualify inspection, monitoring, and verification methods.
• Develop and modify process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, MSAs, and APQP artifacts.
