Job summary

Barilla America in Northbrook, IL, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to manage production and inventory planning for the US portfolio. You will balance customer service, inventory, and costs, developing short to long-term plans with production, co-packing, and import inputs.

This hybrid role requires 3+ years in CPG supply chain, SAP/APO experience, and strong Excel and project management skills. Travel up to 15% may be required; a bachelor’s degree in business is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
• 3+ years in Supply Chain within Consumer Package Goods (CPG).
• Experience with SAP and APO for production or distribution planning.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short-, medium- and long-term production plans.
• Coordinate inbound supply with import vendors and international teams.
• Analyze demand deviations with demand planning to set priorities.
• Run capacity analyses for the supply network and identify bottlenecks.
• Lead projects for new items, packaging changes and initiatives.
• Set production priorities and adjust plans to meet service/cost objectives.
• Monitor capacity and collaborate to include additional co-pack or import volume.
• Improve medium- and short-term production planning processes.
