Job summary

Conagra Brands in Illinois seeks a Production Planner to develop and manage detailed production and material plans that align with demand, capacity, labor, and material availability. You will partner withSales, Operations, Logistics, and Procurement to keep schedules on track and minimize disruptions.

The role requires at least 1 year in production planning, experience with SAP, and strong analytical and communication skills to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or related environment.
• Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with cross-functional collaboration and external partners.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production and material plans, including detailed schedules and sequencing.
• Optimize production runs and material flow to reduce downtime and costs.
• Convert and manage production and material orders in SAP and adjust plans as conditions change.
• Coordinate material availability through supplier deliveries, inventory movements, and plant logistics.
• Monitor risks such as shortages and delays; proactively adjusting plans to minimize disruption.
• Partner with S&OP, MRP, Operations, Logistics, Procurement and suppliers to resolve constraints.
• Communicate risks, changes and performance updates to stakeholders and participate in planning routines.
• Drive continuous improvement and support Lean initiatives to improve efficiency and service levels.
• Identify data or system issues (lead times, lot sizes, inventory accuracy) impacting execution.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, GMPs and company standards.
