PROENERGY in Houston is seeking a seasoned Production Planning Manager to lead the planning and control of the gas turbine manufacturing value stream. You will convert demand into an executable, capacity-feasible schedule and guide the planning team that delivers it, owning the published schedule and master planning data.

Responsibilities include driving schedule adherence, leading ERP master data readiness, and coordinating with CI to improve attainment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years in production control, planning, or scheduling in high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing or MRO operations with people leadership.
Working knowledge of gas turbine or complex mechanical assembly/disassembly flows and scheduling implications.
Strong ERP experience including data cleansing, UAT, or cutover; Excel and capacity analysis skills.
Able to run disciplined manual or spreadsheet-based scheduling when systems are unavailable.

Responsibilities

Own the daily and weekly production schedule for repair and overhaul work centers, sequencing engine inductions through disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly.
Drive schedule adherence and publish on-time-to-schedule performance; manage capacity and recovery planning.
Lead master data readiness for repair scope: cleanse and validate item masters, routings, work centers, and BOM structures.
Map and maintain work-center capacity and update planning parameters as processes improve.
Serve as functional lead through ERP implementation: UAT, defect resolution, cutover planning, and release discipline.
Run material flow to schedule: staging, kitting, and shortage escalation through the material coordinator team.
Partner with site CI leadership on improvement events to boost schedule attainment and reduce shortages.
Develop the team into system-fluent professionals and establish clear role standards.
