Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in the steel manufacturing industry to recruit a Senior Production Planner in Minneapolis, MN. This DIRECT HIRE role focuses on scheduling across multiple facilities, optimizing production flow, and applying strong data analysis.

The incumbent will monitor KPIs, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and adjust plans to meet capacity and delivery requirements. Proficiency with Excel, Project, and Power BI is desired, along with CAD knowledge.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6+ years scheduling/demand planning experience.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and teamwork traits.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to present data clearly.
• Proficiency with Excel and Project; working knowledge of Power BI.
• CAD software knowledge (AutoCAD or similar).
• SIOP/S&OP knowledge; background in steel materials is a plus.

Mansioni

• Coordinate with Plant/Shop Leadership to ensure backlog of cut sheets meets schedule.
• Schedule preventive maintenance with maintenance/manufacturing teams to minimize downtime.
• Monitor KPIs related to planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Create detailed production schedules considering capacity, resources, and delivery requirements.
• Provide recommendations for capacity expansion or improvements to meet future demand.
• Generate reports and analyses to assess planning effectiveness and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align schedules with business objectives.
• Adjust schedules to accommodate demand changes, disruptions, or absences.
• Develop risk mitigation plans for capacity constraints.
• Conduct regular capacity planning assessments.
