Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking a Senior Production Planner, Fabrication to develop and execute a detailed fabrication schedule in an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environment. You will balance capacity, material, and readiness to keep fabricated components flowing to Assembly.

You will liaison across Fabrication, Engineering, Supply Chain, Programming, and Assembly Planning, owning jobs from release through completion while driving continuous improvement in planning processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
• Advanced ERP/MRP proficiency with BOM structures, routings, production scheduling, and capacity planning.
• Experience coordinating across Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate the 12-week assembly plan into a detailed fabrication schedule by resource and work center.
• Sequence and level-load work to optimize fabrication resources and ensure on-time completion.
• Monitor shop-floor progress, open jobs, and WIP against the schedule and adjust priorities.
• Own fabrication performance metrics, including schedule attainment and on-time delivery.
• Lead daily and weekly fabrication scheduling reviews.
